Fair Referral Fees

Hi,

I run a small computer service business. I am getting some business
from referrals these days and sometimes I refer potential clients to
other businesses as well. I wonder what is the fair fee structures for
pay referrals.

Say if someone refers me for a one-time computer repair job that pays
$200, or someone refers me for a temp or contract job that lasts for
weeks, months or years. What are the fair amounts for various
scenarios?

think about the lifetime value of a customer. if it is a one-time
computer repair job, who will fix that customer's computer the next time
it breaks. if you do an excellent job, it will be you.

perhaps give a customer one-hour of free service for every referral they
give you that employes you for more than one hour of service time.
everyone who is referring you is a customer who would love to save
money. these MS computers need service all of the time when they are
hooked to the internet.

this is a very fast way to make your business grow since everyone is
looking for a good computer guy/gal.
