I have an interview to become and Associate for this outfit from the UK....I
cen't seem to find out a lot about them, except one hit for a fraud outline
and their own website links.

I only see them advertising for 'new recruits' not running a marketing site
etc for attracting clients, so I am wondering how many of the consulting
companies/individuals listed there have actually had consulting jobs
directed to them from the IIB.

Has anyone had dealings with this group either as an associate or as a
client. I would especially like to hear from a client as marketing to this
group is what it is all about!

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I am a business consultant in the Ottawa/Brockville area, and like you
have managed to pass the test and be accepted to attend a seminar in
Ottawa on Decemeber 1/05. I have not yet received their confirmation of
place and, I suspect, cost. I have always been leery of things I find
on the internet.
Looking at their web site gives me no clue as to how they operate, how
their clients get in touch with them, or even who they are and what
skills they bring to the table. So I'm skeptical. Like you, I would
like some references from their clients, and particularly, some good
information on their strength of knowledge of the Canadian business
market and practices.
On the other hand, if there is a chance of meeting and associating with
other professionals in the small business consulting field, then this
might be worthwhile and worth the seminar.
I will be glad to share with you anything I find out and would be glad
to hear of your further experiences. My email address is
david.macaskill@sympatico.ca.
Kind regards,
David Macaskill,
Dickson Macaskill and Associates
