Are 3 founders too much for one company?

My husband and 2 his friends started a company together. For the time being the company is not profitable yet. My husband says his friends are honest and decent people and he is sure about them. Bu all of my friends say the company with 3 masters will never exist for too long. When the money appear, they will begin quarreling with each other about sharing of this money. I agree with this opinion and also I don't fully believe these partners are really honest. As for me, I think a company should have only one owner.
