| Just 1 question … because I would like to know people better? Do you prefer to work alone or with others? I am just asking you this…. Because… many… many people…are… working with others, just because they are to lazy to do everything by themselves? Or they want to take big and relaxing pauses … and let the others to work … |

Sometimes working with others is the best thing. I like to work with groups of people who all want to get the job done the best way they can, most efficiently.
There is nothing like a team to get one out of those, I cannot think, my head has turned to lead type of days. A fresh look, of a totally different approach can be the medicine needed. |

| hmmm I guess it all depends on the thing I have to do... there are things that are better to be done alone... and there are things which require the presence and help of others... |

| Hmmm, squirrel makes a good point. In business, like in anything else in life, a one-size-fits-all solutions isn't likely to fit very well at all! Certainly we each have our own proclivities – in this case for working independently or as a member of a team – but the nature of the work/project at hand should dictate the nature of the work done, not just personal preference. BUT, I also think that knowing one’s preferred method of operations and the reasons why will help when transitioning between modalities. |

| Please define "under attack" Raluca. I understand that there's some bad blood with the other instructors in town but, as i understood it, you (and your partner) also have a stable set of thriving and satisfied students, no? I know it can be dificult, but I honestly believe that if you give your all to your students (which I know you do) and make sure that they don't reciprocate the ill will directed towards you, that your instruction and the studnets you produce will speak for you... |

Hmmm...
The thing is the instructor who's accusing us doesn't intend to listen to what we have to say, and due to the lack of regulations in our country and the fact that other instructors allow him to attack us, 'cause they're afraid we might steal their business, he's attacking us everywhere...
I tried to reason with the guy, but not any more... I am just going to ignore him... the problem is people here love scandals... and I don't want to have a bad reputation... my students are with me... they won't change their mind, 'cause they know me... but it might be bad for the business...
It is the first time ever that I'm being attacked and have no idea how to react!
Any suggestions are more than welcome!

It's so important to find good people...surround yourself with good people to the best of your ability. Try not to talk to this person if possible...just be a good person yourself, and others will notice.
I hope that helps (but it sounds like this is not an easy situation). Good Luck! |

Yeah, sounds like a bad situation. :(
Like David says though, surround yourself with the type of people you want to be associated with and, in time, people will notice the difference. if all of your students are happy and good people, while the other instructor's studnets are always complaining and negative, people will eventually take note! |

An aphorism that I've found extremely helpful in my business (and in my life generally) is one I learned from Michael Clause, Network Marketer Extraordinaire, a few years ago: "Always keep the main thing the main thing."
In my past career as a psychotherapist, I found that dealing with criticism and disapproval from others was one of the most common issues for my clients. The best strategy for dealing with this, I believe, is to refocus your attention repeatedly on the "main thing," which is whatever is most important to us in life and on what we have power over. Since we have very little power over how others regard us, there's a very poor "return on investment" in giving it our attention. :D |
