You, IT guys, and the rest of the people... what do you prefer?
A very impressive site using Flash or a html/php site that loads really fast...?! |

Give me simple to follow and fast any day!
Impressive can, as it says, be impressive... but this doesn't make it practical or useful. Sure, maybe it I'll notice it but honestly, many, many, many sites have such displays.... especially for business related sites I want something that makes it fast and easy to do whatever it is that I need to get done. |

| I think a well designed, user friendly flash site is better than almost anything you can do with html or php. However, most people who design a flash site try to make it well... too flashy. It ends up being completely impossible to use, and people like that should stick to html. (though in some cases really flashy is better than user friendly. check out www.howmessedup.com for a really cool example) |

| One big problem with flash is search engines cannot see inside the flash, so importent content often fails to be indexed by the search engine. I think flash is okay if you embed some graphics, but trying to make a whole site out of flash can be a problem, especially if getting new traffic is important to you. |
