Introduction

This forum will be for discussing books you've read, or asking opinions on other books. I was thinking we'd go with one thread/book, and I'll start a few on some books I've read.

All opinions positive and negative are welcome, just please try to keep any negative feedback polite, and be sure to always give reasons for your opinions.

I'll be more active in the other forums once I have some experience starting and/or running my business (next summer if financing goes well).

I just started my own business at the beginning of the year, and it has been very exciting. I hope you will share your experiences. Do you care to say what type of business you plan to start?

I have a perfect location (with low, possibly even free lease rate starting out) to start a liquor store, and I eventually plan to own a chain of them (or perhaps I'll take whatever I learn about running a business from that, and apply it to something more exciting). I decided on the liquor store, because the location is excellent, and because I'm good friends with the owners of the place, they're willing to give me a low cost to start out, which will take much of the stress off until it gets established (and because of the location, my only competition within about 50 miles should go out of business within a year after I open my store) If that goes well, I'll either open more stores (using the same ideas for choosing locations), or if I find another business idea that interests me more, I'll do that.
