Many of us are getting almost once a month , mails , pretending that somebody , from somewhere (usually from countries with a low security and instable economy) will give you a few millions of dollars, for doing small jobs, like helping him to “escrow large amount of money from the country” , usually from “a dead person”. This are all scams… this people only want to make “friendships” with you , and take some money from you… usually around 10 000 USD.
Also it’s important to not pay attention to anyone pretending to be from “Africa”. You can see this kind of rippers/scammers on Yahoo Messenger all day long.
Never accept payments from a Nigerian… they are usually paying with stolen credit cards, or by fooling others people to pay you…

| I've been getting these bloody things since about six months ago. Now on an almost daily basis. All of the mail comes from people in Africa. What gives? |

I'm not sure "what gives," but it certainly does reinforce the old adage “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!” Seriously, any and all business and financial decisions should only be made based on sound, verifiable information. |

| My acquaintance got into the following situation: he found somewhere in Internet an African who said he would give him a loan. The African came to him, signed the contract, took $5000 as banking charges and hasn't given any loan yet. I don't understand - is he such a minor scammer that he came to another country for the sake of $5000 only and signed the contract and gave all his company info? What for? Or his company's info is fake? My acquaintance is going to bring an action against this African. This situation isn't similar to what is described in the thread, so I don't know what to think about it. |
